MRgHIFU is a platform technology, is able to expand to various clinical applications.
It offers non-invasive, no incision and radiation free for treating soft tissue lesions (tumors) including uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, can also be applied for pain palliation of bone metastases, or those that is non-operable with surgery.
The ultrasonic beam emitted from the top-mounted transducer is precisely focused on the lesion in the body to generate heat, causing the lesion tissue to achieve protein denaturation and necrosis.
For precision and safety, with the guidance of MR, provides high-resolution anatomical image for treatment planning as well as real-time thermal monitoring to avoid the risk of hurting surrounding tissues.
