USTAR II Hip & Knee System
The USTAR II Hip & Knee System (referred to as USTAR II) is designed to preserve as much of the original bone structure as possible when patients suffer from osteosarcoma requiring extensive removal of the affected area or severe bone loss due to major trauma. Components have been designed based on 20 years experience with the previous USTAR system.
This limb reconstruction prosthetic offers patients and doctors a comprehensive treatment strategy. The product emphasizes structural stability and a locking mechanism, prioritizing patient safety while providing doctors with convenient operational steps and the flexibility of system component compatibility, enhancing patients’ natural gait post-surgery.
Minimal Bone Resection:
*Minimal replaced implants lengths for proximal femoral, distal femoral, and proximal tibial replacements.
*Resection of non affected femoral condyles are compatible with primary and revision femoral components.
*Narrow femoral box enables minimal bone resection which reduces the risk of femoral condylar fracture.
Currently, USTAR II is marketed in Taiwan, the USA, France, and other regions; it has been used in over 1000 surgeries worldwide, continually helping patients regain mobility.
