Lytone Enterprise Inc. was founded in 1994, with business in fresh produce, functional food formulation, and livestock industry supply. The Company is headquartered in Taipei, with branch offices in Tainan and wholly owned subsidiaries in Shanghai and Bangkok. The company is staffed with Ph. D and MS scientists who are highly competitive, and supported its fresh produce business based on its proprietary research in post harvest preservation technology: LytoFresh®. As a result Lytone was the first trader who could ship Taiwan’s tropical produce such as Mango, Carambola, Ateomoya and Pineapple by ocean freight to overseas market such as China, Japan, Korea, North America, New Zealand and Australia by ocean freight. Lytone is also the only company able to ship Mangosteen and Durian from Thailand to Canada by sea freight, lowering the cost and improving the quality of such tropical fruits to remote markets.
Because of these achievements Lytone received Excellent Agribusiness Award in 2009, and Gold Medal in the Agriculture Biotech Business Innovation Award in 2012 from The Council of Agriculture in Taiwan, Gold Medal in Commercialization of Technological Achievements Award in 2013 from Taipei Municipal government, the 21st Taiwan SMEs Innovation Award from Ministry of SME, 2016 Ministry of Economics Excellence Award, and Top Honor of the Exporter of Agricultural Produce in Tainan County, Taiwan.
LytoFresh®, which is a system engineering concept that aims to maximize shelf life of fresh produce, includes a series of patented products that has been developed with User-friendly concept, such as tablet (AnsiP®-A, G), cloth (AnsiP-S®), AnsiP-Sticker®, and food grade preservative dips such as KaDoZan® and Natocoat™, etc. LytoFresh® is able to extend shelf life of tropical fruits from the traditional 7 days to more than 30 days, some time up to 8 months, depending on the fruits.
The technology includes protocols that are designed for as low as 10 L packaging, up to commercial greenhouses, cold rooms, containers, etc. for various fresh produce. In addition, both AnsiP-S® and AnsiP-Sticker® are amenable to be customized with different logo as well as QR codes for advertising and food tracing system. To date more than 20 protocols have been established for different economically important fresh fruits, as well as flower and vegetables, and applied commercially in our sales territories.
